For internet play, use a trusted HTTPS tunnel when possible so invites and game traffic are encrypted. Advanced users can instead forward TCP 8787 and share http://<your-public-ip>:8787#k=KEY, but direct HTTP port forwarding is not encrypted. Set a strong access key before either method. The host computer never needs the key.
A live world needs a little server running on one computer โ usually yours. Download the ready folder, no account, no install beyond free Node.js.
