Access key:

For internet play, use a trusted HTTPS tunnel when possible so invites and game traffic are encrypted. Advanced users can instead forward TCP 8787 and share http://<your-public-ip>:8787#k=KEY, but direct HTTP port forwarding is not encrypted. Set a strong access key before either method. The host computer never needs the key.

Start your server (one time)

A live world needs a little server running on one computer โ€” usually yours. Download the ready folder, no account, no install beyond free Node.js.

Includes the game page, live dashboard, server, start scripts, docs, and local 3D library.
  1. Get the folder. Download and unzip the ready-to-run folder above. If you already have the site folder, you can also use its existing ggv-live-server.js.
  2. Start it.
    macOS: double-click start-live-server.command ยท Windows: start-live-server.bat
Or in a terminal, from that folder: node ggv-live-server.js
  3. Open your dashboard. It'll print a web address. Enter the port below (default 8787) and open it:

What you get

Everyone who opens your link lands in the same live world. The first player seeds the server with whatever MC World Maker world they open, then blocks anyone places or breaks show up for everyone and save automatically. Player avatars, held tools, slingshot hits, grappling movement, and featured Games modes stay lightweight so friends can jump in quickly. Works on the same Wi-Fi, including iPhones. For internet play, set an access key, put a trusted HTTPS tunnel in front of the server, and share its secure link.
